General Operator

Working Hours: 40 Hours per week

Position Summary:

Manufacturing Team Members (Operators) work within multi skilled teams responsible for all operations, preventative maintenance and daily running of the production line, including material handling, equipment operation, process monitoring, quality control and detailed recording of shift related data (log book entries, production outputs, etc.).

These vacancies are on a temporary contract basis and may involve shift work.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work in a high-speed manufacturing environment (previous manufacturing experience would be an advantage)
  • Proven practical background of applying process, operational and mechanical skills to help solve production and equipment related losses
  • A high level of personal accountability and ownership for results
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong team players with excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills to allow cross shift and function interaction and participation in continuous improvement activities
  • Ability to perform and understand all required safety and manufacturing procedures
  • Possess strong organisational skills
  • Willing to take on new challenges
  • Willingness to train in multiple tasks as per production demands
  • Require minimum supervision
  • Possess a good technical ability
  • Fully competent in Oral and Written English
  • Excellent spatial awareness would be an advantage
  • Available for Shift Work

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:

  • Knowledge of GMP and GDP practices
  • Experience in hand finishing/processing metal implants
  • Experience in operating manufacturing equipment
  • Positive attitude, reliable, and a team player
  • Commitment to safety at all times

Qualifications Required:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Two years’ experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Experience in the medical device industry or similar regulated industry would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing would be an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €27,500.00-€30,000.00 per year
