The Site Director is overall responsible for the results of the Cali Site in Colombia for safety, quality, financial policy, customer service, improvements, investments, and volume growth of the organization. The Site Director advises and informs the Regional Director Ops, EPD on the performance of the organization, draws up reports and conducts financial and business economic analyzes with direct support of his/her Management Team on the site.
PURPOSE
- Manages within the sub-function or related sub-functions.
- Typically a highly experienced manager.
- Decisions tend to be more tactical and operational.
- Geographic scope of operation tends to be at the country level.
- Typically accountable for budget.
- Responsible for undertaking production activities including setting-up, calibrating and operating machines and equipment.
- Following production schedules and quality standards.
- Monitoring production processes.
- Troubleshooting production problems.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Highly experienced in Production management.
- In addition to the day-to-day managerial function, the role incorporates strategic and policy development aspects that have medium term consequences on the operation of the function and perhaps impact elements of organization performance.
- Key member in the formulation of production strategy, policy, and procedures.
- Develops and oversees production activities to maximize the use of the organization’s resources and meet established production specifications and schedules.
- volume, cost, and wastage targets, and quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree – BSc/MSc (e.g. Pharmacist, Engineer, Microbiologist, Chemist)
- 5 to 10 years of experience pharmaceutical and/or medical device manufacturing, out of which 5 years in another Manufacturing Environment
- Understands Corporate environments, links between affiliate, division and corporate infrastructures and politics
- Fluent in Spanish, English required
