The Labor Occupational Safety and Health Program (UCLA LOSH) is a sub-unit of UCLA's Institute for Research on Labor and Employment (IRLE). LOSH collaborates with workers, unions, community organizations, employers, academics, students, governmental representatives, and health professionals to improve health and safety conditions for workers in Southern California.
Under the supervision of the LOSH Finance and Administration Manager, the incumbent is responsible for providing finance and operations support, coordination/logistics, clerical and technical support and assistance for the COVID-19 Workplace Outreach Project (CWOP). They will work closely with Principal Investigator, project team and subrecipient/partners finance and program teams involved in the CWOP Initiative. The Finance and Program Specialist assists with setting up and monitoring subcontract accounts by preparing and collecting financial commitment forms, collecting and tracking quarterly invoices, and providing financial reports to supervisor and PI. They also provide general and specialized support to program staff and subcontracted organizations under this initiative. They are responsible for arrangement travel for LOSH personnel, assist with ordering supplies, and other administrative support.
