Job Summary
The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment. Protect guests, employees, and property by patrolling the property grounds, hallways, parking lots, stairwells, elevators, pool areas, hotel rooms, etc. Responsible for monitoring security cameras and filling out paperwork. If the situation calls for it, security personnel may also work with the local law enforcement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Daily house count and expected arrivals/departures.
- In-house events, external businesses, contacts, and current/upcoming events.
- Conduct designated investigations (i.e. theft or lost items, noise complaints, assault complaints, food poisoning complaints and other guest complaints) and complete documented reports in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Respond to the scene of guest/employee accident promptly; administer First Aid/C.P.R. in accordance to guidelines and comply with all departmental procedures; communicate specified information to EMS/medical personnel as required.
- Receives information from the previous shift and passes on pertinent details to the oncoming Security Officer.
- Perform and complete all duties assigned by the Security Supervisor and/or Director of Security in a timely and efficient manner.

Essential Skills, Experience, and Education include:
- College degree preferred and minimum one (1) years’ experience in a Security role in a Hotel environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Luxury hotel and/or luxury residence experience is preferred.
- High-volume/fast-paced Hotel environment experience preferred.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- California Guard Card.
- Valid California Driver’s License and auto insurance.
- Proficient in English - verbal and written.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Must have flexible work availability- all shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements include:
- The employee will frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination, unless a medical or religious accommodation is requested.
Salary Range:$20.00/hr - $22.00/hr
